I am accountable for developing lesson plans geared toward helping students gain insight on how to manage their mental health and to be successful within a classroom setting. I utilize this material on a daily basis during therapeutic group sessions, covering a wide variety of topics such as coping skills, self-regulation, anger management, and expected classroom behavior. I lead a team of 6 behavior specialists that manage their own classrooms and ensure they meet deadlines with accuracy. I offer extra support during highly intense physical and emotional situations, assisting in de-escalation. I work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to ensure program guidelines and ideologies are implemented.

I would implement required curriculum to my assigned classroom focusing on helping children develop intellectual, creative, physical, social-emotional and life skills in authentic, age-appropriate ways tailored to each child. I offered assistance in multiple rooms from infants to kindergartners, specializing in toddlers (ages 1-3). I managed regularly scheduled diaper changes, toilet training, and meal times - minding special dietary restrictions. I maintained ongoing communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress as well as any issues or concerns that may have come up.

I managed 16 part-time employees, while working closely with the owner on a daily basis. I ordered all of the essential products and supplies, as well as performing pick-up and delivery for these products when necessary. I was responsible for the register in the morning and filling it with the appropriate amount of change to accommodate customers for the rest of the shift, then swapping drawers at shift change and counting out bills and coins. I fulfilled administrative duties that included completing paperwork, delegating tasks, and conducting interviews.

I implemented a plan of care to geriatric individuals based on their specific needs. Daily tasks included assisting patients with bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation. Throughout my shifts, I would also perform light housekeeping. I was accountable for securing a safe environment while allowing them to achieve their highest level of independence. I maintained within strict compliance of HIPAA standards and all patient confidentiality regulations.
