2019 - Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)Since 2017 - actively sequencing mitochondrial DNA from human reference samples on Illumina MiSeq FGx. Working in the Research and Development unit as part of the Department of Biology and Fibers, Forensic Science Centre "Ivan Vucetic"Since February 2016 – engaged in the Massively Parallel Sequencing (MPS) methods. Until February 2016 - dealing with casework (blood, epithelial on cotton swabs and other surfaces, saliva, semen, hair, nails, bones/teeth) and reference samples (buccal swabs, blood on FTA) in human identification process.In my spare time I try to live like the Romans did: "A healthy mind in a healthy body". I trained tennis for almost ten years, but one of my greatest love is gymnastics which I have been training for almost four years in ZTD Hrvatski sokol, Zagreb, Croatia. I am always trying out new things that will keep me going forward. In winter, I train figure skating, and currently I am engaged in Competitive Crossfit training, which I try to balance between work and other daily activities. I could certainly say that sport and movement have become an inseparable part of every day life. Sundays are for swimming lessons, and thursdays I train the brain: learning danish. Currently I have a certificate level A1/1, and I am continuing to the level A1/2. Due to my immense interest in sport, I recently enrolled in online courses provided by Shaw Academy. I am a big fan of the seaside, which I find to be my way out of the modern world. I am not afraid of new challenges in any way; they positively affect my physical and mental health. During elementary school and high schooI I studied Latin and Greek, and have always been a fan of languages. Future plans include taking a course in French and Spanish, and also upgrading my German. I enjoy team work, but also like to manage things on my own. I immensely enjoy everything I do and I am looking forward to what lies ahead on my path of life.
