Cru is a student-led, staff-directed organization empowering high school students to lead their peers in discussions about faith, leadership, love, integrity, compassion, and purpose.I was the campus coordinator for students at Poway High School, Orange Glen High School, and Abraxas Continuation High School. • Prepared and led multiple weekly bible studies (5-15 girls per study) and one-on-one appointments (5-8 high girls). • Coached a team of students to lead a monthly outreach to 60-100 high school students.• Gained experience in public speaking, giving motivational talks to high school sports teams. • Collaborated with eight other Cru staff as well as with school administrators and other organizations on campus.• Prepared and delivered presentations which highlighted our students' strengths and articulated our organization's mission and values to create a team of financial partners totaling $50,000 per year. • Gained cross cultural experience leading eight high school students on a two week trip to Portugal. • Pioneered our first ever San Diego Summer Mission, hosting seven college interns for six weeks to run our summer program to high school students giving me experience with recruiting, public speaking, administration, organization, budgeting, scheduling, training, decision making, and conflict resolution.
