Responsible for the management and operation of the Prosecution Division. This includes: all aspects of prosecuting and supervising the prosecution of criminal misdemeanor cases and infractions from case review and filing through trial and appeal; supervising six prosecuting attorneys and all other Prosecution Division staff; developing prosecution policies and practices; and providing training and education for police officers and legal, governmental, and community groups.

Prosecute criminal defendants charged with misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses that occurred within the City of Kent. Represent the City at all stages of the proceedings, from the filing decision through the appeal. Played an integral role in the creation of the Kent Municipal DUI Court -- the first of its kind in the State of Washington.

Represent criminal defendants charged with misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors in arraignments, pre-trial conferences, trial, and review hearings in Kent, Seatac, Kirkland, Sammamish, Kenmore, Milton, and Lakewood Municipal Courts.

Helped operate a diversion program for first-time juvenile offenders in the greater Seattle area. Hear cases of juvenile offenders as told first by the youth and their parents. Developed means by which to rehabilitate the juvenile offender.

Construction of homes in partnership with low income families and volunteers. Taught construction tasks and worked alongside my crew of volunteers, while maintaining a safe and engaging atmosphere. Also responsible for leading Habitat 101 during breaks, an info session about the low-income housing crisis in the L.A. area.

Conduct research, maintain correspondences, write and edit reports, and other daily office duties. Worked on a public education report that uncovered the types of lawyers most likely to be selected to serve as D.C. Superior Court Judges.
