• Under the direction of the Board of Directors I was responsible for overseeing all organizational functions related to building a coalition of members to create a viable arts market on Cape Ann through advocacy, programs, and initiatives that revitalize and reenergize the community through the arts. • Proposed, designed, and implemented high quality programming that supported the seARTS mission. Oversaw volunteer recruitment and coordination. Other tasks associated with daily operations and administration included, database creation and management, bookkeeping and budget oversight, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, office and staff management. • Directed the development and implementation of grant programs, including all reporting requirements; expanded the membership base; organized volunteer committees; coordinated special events; expanded the private donor base; and created a database using FileMaker Pro to track members and donors. • Advocated for arts and culture policies and funding on a national, state, and local level.

• Responsible for the coordination and execution of the Chamber’s extensive membership benefit package; annual membership drives; and achieving retention goals.• Oversaw programs and events to encourage supporting local business and promote Gloucester’s downtown business district. Played a key role in the planning and achievement of several annual festivals.• Responsible for the proper execution of the advertising budget including coordination of cooperative ads in major publications to promote the area as a destination. Oversaw a complete redesign and marketing effort for the Chamber’s travel website www.CapeAnnVacations.com. • Played a key role in securing donations and managing administrative tasks associated with producing the Annual Goods & Services Auction, their largest fundraiser bringing in over $80,000 a year. Oversaw the implementation of other fundraising efforts such as raffles and special events.• Gained vast experience working with boards and committees; preparing memos, press releases, meeting minutes, membership letters, promotional materials, and contributing to a monthly newsletter.
