Served as a full-time residential supervisor and Team Leader to 8 FEMA Corps members ages 18-26 in the execution and implementation of both Disaster Response operations and Steady-State readiness work. Led the team through extensive AmeriCorps and FEMA training with both interpersonal and technical skills and oversaw the completion of FEMA mission work, ensured the whole community approach, and prioritized efficiency and equity across all accomplishments.Deployments:Remnants of Hurricane Ida in New York City (4615): Disaster Survivor Assistance. Performed case reviews, registrations, assisted with the appeals process, and went door-to-door hearing survivor stories and answering questions. Hurricane Ida in Louisiana (4611): Individual Assistance Cadre. Worked on Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) Scheduling, Voluntary Agency Liaison (VAL) Situation Reports, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) trackers, and adding equity analysis to state-wide Parish Profiles.FEMA Headquarters, Field Operation's Directorate's Regional Support Section: Conducted analysis of existing Field Operation's training resources and mechanisms to identify gaps in Regional Field Operations branding, training, and development processes, assisted with the Regional Force Structure Review process for the Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Cadre and Individual Assistance (IA) Cadre leading to additional Personnel Identification Numbers, and built out information infrastructure platforms such as SharePoint Pages and Teams Channels to foster communication and collaboration.
