As Director of WebbAlign at the Wisconsin Center for Education Products and Services (WCEPS), I work with state departments of education, educational publishers, assessment developers, and K-12 teachers and administrators to support the use of the Webb's Depth of Knowledge (DOK) language system for evaluating the complexity of academic expectations, tasks, and other components of educational materials to promote coherence. My team can help you with item reviews and alignment studies to inform program improvements as well as to provide evidence of content alignment to contribute to a validity argument. I have worked extensively with K-12 educational materials, tertiary and adult education, education program development and evaluation (including alignment studies) for over 25 states and for many commercial vendors. With academic and professional experience in the sciences and in science education, I particularly enjoy supporting stakeholders on issues and topics related to current science standards, including NGSS and other Framework-based standards.
