Integral part of the corporate governance secretariat at John Wood Group PLC involved in all aspects of the PLC's subsidiary governance. Working across the global subsidiary structure to ensure appropriate and timely corporate regulatory and compliance obligations met and managing and maintaining all corporate records; supporting PLC governance tasks as required.

Solicitor in the Finance and Projects – Energy Transactions Team with Pinsent Masons with a wide range of experience in all areas of the law including significant commercial / corporate experience with exposure to high-value contracts and commercial deals. Experience in the oil and gas sector covers upstream / exploration and production, supply chain / service provider and regulatory environments.

Worked as part of the Company Secretarial team to provide corporate governance and support to the business.• Organised and prepared agendas and papers for board meetings, committee and annual general meetings.• Scheduled and attended board and committee meetings, taking the minutes and providing general board and committee support.• Maintained appropriate statutory records and ensured all company filings timeously submitted.

· Provided legal counsel and support at all stages of commercial and corporate legal transactions in relation to Oceaneering's operations, primarily in Europe and Africa but also elsewhere globally as required, including drafting of legal agreements, company set up / registrations, due diligence enquiries and ongoing corporate governance and compliance work. · Co-ordinated with and provided legal counsel and support to HR and other business functions as required.· Liaised with external counsel and advisers · Provided support and developed strategies in respect of ongoing projects.

On contract to the Oil & Gas Authority to support its ongoing projects in pursuing its MER UK activities.

Managed and supervised the Contracts Team for i-Tech division of Subsea 7 in all aspects of contract review, contract negotiation and contract management to support the business in its Tendering, Operations and Supply Chain Management functions; responsible for the efficient interpretation and implementation of contract and commercial matters and ensuring all contracts complied with business contracting principles; resolution of contractual and financial disputes; contract amendments and variations.

Based in Aberdeen Office. Commercial Contracts. Energy -Oil & Gas Sector. Spent 3 years on secondment to Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Ltd's legal department involved in all legal aspects of a large upstream oil & gas Operator's operations.
