As Executive Director for the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation, Guild executes the vision of the EDC Board by implementing strategic activities to achieve its goals, all in pursuit of creating a thriving economy across the county. In this role, Guild engages with both current and prospective businesses, supports the regional workforce pipeline, and advocates for policies & initiatives to support a healthy economy.Previously, Guild served as Grant Project Manager for Mid-State Technical College, where she researched, applied for, and managed grants to support the College's mission and programs. She also served as Executive Director for the Wisconsin Automotive & Truck Education Association (WATEA), a nonprofit connecting transportation-related businesses with educational and community organizations to improve the quantity and quality of transportation industry workers. At WATEA, Guild oversaw the Wheels to Work program, providing loans and vehicles to economically-disadvantaged employees with financial and transportation barriers, as well as the Commute2Careers shuttle program, offering shuttle services to help people with transportation barriers get to work or school. Guild was also Outreach Director for Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District, serving as the "representative of the Representative" by attending meetings and events on the Congressman's behalf in order to help him stay on top of the many important issues and activities taking place across the 7th Congressional District. Prior to that role, Guild served as the Government Affairs and Workforce Development Director for the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she oversaw all activities related to the intersection of business and government, including creating annual legislative agendas, organizing legislative and workforce events, and coordinating multiple committees related to advocacy, workforce, and young professionals. In addition, Guild was an elected Marathon County Board supervisor from 2016-2022, during which she chaired the Education & Economic Development Committee as well as the Central WI Airport Board.Guild received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay with an emphasis in Organizational Communications and earned her ABA Paralegal certification through Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She graduated from Northcentral Technical College's Nonprofit Management Institute certificate program in 2022. Guild has extensive experience in workforce development, education, non-profit management, government, and small business.
