Hi, I'm Sarah! I am a fourth-year Kinesiology Sports Management student interested in both health care and sports managementIn the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of working at FirstOnSite Restoration in Mississauga, ON as a National Programs Administrative Intern. In this role, I became an expert in MS Excel, data entry, day-to-day operations, and providing my support in the development of new and efficient programs. During my academic career, I've become a member of the Faculty of Health Science Student Council as a Student Affairs Associate. In this portfolio, I have helped recruit and host many academic events for undergraduate students under the Faculty of Health Science at Western University. We also partner with the Free-The-Dot initiative hosted by the University Student Council (USC) to provide the Menstrual Equity Hamper Program (MEHP) to ensure everyone has free and equal access to menstrual products. I have helped kickstart and maintain this program by creating and filing baskets throughout the semester with menstrual products. I have a passion for creating an equitable environment and it has been an honour to be a part of this initiative. Additionally, I have also joined the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) as a Membership Services Associate. In this role, I have helped oversee the facility to keep the environment safe as well as manage equipment rentals for members. I have become an expert in both teamwork and problem-solving during my time here so far and I look forward to continue to grow in my role at the WSRC.I am open to discussing potential internship opportunities for the summer of 2024.
