As an IUPUI sociology major and pre-law track student, I strive to give back to the community and to be involved not only with my school, but the city of Indianapolis as well. I am passionate about advocating for criminal justice reform as well as incarceration reform within the United States, and the overall success and growth of the black community. Currently I am the vice president for the National Association of Colored Women’s Club Inc. WORLD chapter at IUPUI, Founder and charter member of the NAACP IUI chapter, USG senator for Collegiant 100, a formal member of 100 Black Men of America Inc. Co-president of the Debate team at IUI, productions manager of the Law Society at IUI, and president/founder of my textured hair care club, Caring For Our Crowns at IUPUI as well as a general member of Black Student Union at IUPUI, and various other organizations. I’d love to be involved with any internship opportunities regarding law/politics, any volunteer opportunities involving helping the black and brown community, giving back to those less fortunate in general, or just being involved with the city in general.
