Education at many levels. Began teaching in Secondary as Textile Technology specialist but soon moved to Primary Education with specialism as art,design and craft and also Religious ed.I have lectured and taught workshops on textiles - embroidery and patchwork as well as design - for many years. These are now mainly aimed at Embroiderers' Guild and West Country Embroiderers' groups but I have taught A Level and Higher level students. I have also taught weaving, basketmaking, dying and spinning amongst other things.I have also worked for various Art galleries and Museums around the country including Glasgow Museums (working as photography director on the Glasgow Girls Book 1990), Bradford Museums Service (Data Entry, Receptionist, Attendant, Tutor), Calderdale Museums Service and for a year as Exhibitions Officer for Kyle & Lochalsh based on Skye.I have produced backdrops for rock bands, large scale puppets, masonic textiles as well as ecclesiastical textiles and work for exhibition - much of which is now in private collections. More recently on our move to Shropshire we have been renovating our house and I have been working as an HLTA at Severndale Specialist Academy. I love working with my hands and am a practical problem solver. I spent 3 years learning silversmithing at evening classes which I hope to return to in the future.I have now moved jobs and work full time at Crowsmill Craft Centre CIC as a tutor of all sorts of crafts including woodwork and jewellery.
