Sincerely Sarah Jewelry is my small jewelry business where I get to express my passion for nature and for art. It's rewarding to create unique pieces of art jewelry, challenge myself with new designs and to seek out inspiration from nature. As my side gig I travel to several local shows, participate in local art exhibitions and offer my jewelry for sale online. Sincerely Sarah Jewelry offers a user friendly ecommerce platform for my customers to shop comfortably for their homes. I use social media to post images of new designs and let viewers in on my process of inspiration and creation.

Over the last several weeks in this role I worked to seamlessly transfer all social media accounts, local business listings and other digital assets to the acquiring company. During the transition it was important to keep customers informed about the details of their account acquisition and reassure them that the level of service they will receive will be remain the same. My goal throughout my employment with Select was to enhance the customer experience through digital platforms. Creating informative and useful information for current customers. And helping to educate consumers on what is available for home and business security, automation, and life safety solutions.By creating a strategic email marketing plan using a variety of automated campaigns at various points in the customer journey I was able to increase the overall open and click through rates of company emails by 55% and 72% respectively since the beginning of 2020. Customer review and local SEO strategy played a key role in increasing awareness in each region and led to Google Business listing being one of the primary sources of leads through the company website. Overall in 2020 website leads increased by 25% through organic efforts alone. I also worked closely with our outside sales team to train them on social media for sales. This involved holding one-on-one sessions with various team members to help them optimize the use of their LinkedIn profile to generate leads and nurture existing relationships.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist for Whitewater Challengers I helped attract new guests through SEO, social media, email marketing and more! I also worked on the front lines at the rafting center greeting guests, scheduling staff, and working with the leadership team to make improvement to the overall guest experience. When I started in this position the company had minimal online exposure. During my years here I took on many projects that were instrumental in creating a more streamlined process for guests to book, receive reminders, check in onsite, and receive follow ups. Some of these projects included:💻 New website design creating a user friendly site with an integrated online booking platform and live chat that increased online booking by 60%. This reduced call volume and gave the company the ability to offer trips with real time availability on third party OTA websites. The implementation of the new booking platform also enhanced the customer experience by increasing the speed of the check in process. 🗣 Expand social media reach by optimizing a social media strategy, creating accounts on new platforms, and expanding paid social media advertising. I significantly grew the number of followers across Facebook and Instagram and increased engagement by telling the brand story across all of our channels.📱 Launched a smartphone app for guests to use for their visit that highlighted the weekly menu, special events, and nearby attractions. We used the app to send push notifications of guests to remind them of entertainment, store closing soon, and other reminders. 📣 Created an online review and local search strategy that allowed us to generate more positive reviews across Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor and Yelp. Through onsite, social media, and email follow ups we were able to target guests with reminders to write a review which enhanced our online presence.

In the position of a sales consultant I gained experience working directly with customers to help them through the process of selecting and ordering tile for their home or business renovation and construction projects. Listening was the most important skills in this position. By determining the needs and wants of the customer I could help select materials and create a design that fit the style and budget of the customer. In addition to consulting customers in the showroom I also used social media and website SEO to reach new customers, created email updates for wholesale customers, and assisted with other marketing efforts including expos and signage.

Working in the jewelry studio gave me the confidence to lead and to teach. As someone who was once afraid of public speaking...I learned that when talking about something you have knowledge and appreciation for it comes naturally. I was able to help beginners challenge themselves to learn new skills and to see them grow. I was as proud of their achievements along the way as they were.

Why would I leave a high school job on my LinkedIn profile? Because my boss and her story impacted my life tremendously. As a woman and an entrepreneur who couldn’t open her business without her husbands signature on bank accounts and building leases...she powered through and worked to build her dream. Her employees were loyal and loving. She was tough when we made mistakes, but she let us grow. She made the best use of everyone’s skills making the business run efficiently. The atmosphere resulted in happy customers and buying a wedding gown from Ann Margaret was as much of a tradition as the wedding itself. I love small business and this job influenced that. I will always remember my work family and my boss Peggy who continued doing what she loved every day to the end. She inspired me to keep working towards my dreams.
