Passed MSCSA’s state legislative priorities including prorating the assigned family responsibility in the Minnesota State Grant Program for working, part-time students in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system and partnered with coalition organizations to secure over $102 million in appropriations for the MnSCU system. The change to the State Grant Program benefitted over 8,300 students. Planned and executed a statewide nonpartisan Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign in which over 7,000 students registered and pledged to vote. This was the most successful GOTV campaign in the history of the organization.Conducted trainings for students and provided presentations on higher education legislation at both the state and federal level during monthly conferences.
