Sarah Coy specializes in beauty and theatrical makeup with experience ranging from theatre and opera to weddings and L.A. Fashion Week. With a strong background in artistry, teaching, and small business development, Sarah has founded artistry-based company, CoyMakeup, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her career, Sarah has worked with many companies on commercial and print work including Adobe, Sonic, Cisco, Uniqlo, Jins, Cost Plus, Mumm Winery, Autodesk, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, Thrifty Hunter Magazine, Elegant Magazine, and the Raiderettes. Her theatrical resume includes work with San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera, Opera Paralelle, American Conservatory Theatre, San Jose Ballet, and Opera San Jose. Key points in her career include heading the makeup for Sonics fist round of the “Sip Faces” ad campaign, and heading makeup and hair for Adobes’ “New Creative” video and print ads. Sarah is also very active on social media and through that has collaborated with various artists and companies such as FAWN Network, Theodore Leaf, Mode Media, Todrick Hall and Katrina Sherwood. In addition to makeup artistry, Sarah has also worked with brands such as Nailtini to curate a CoyMakeup collection of nail polishes. Sarah is a member of Local 706 the hairstylists and makeup artist guild. Philanthropic and non-profit work includes AIDS Project Los Angeles, Pacific Pride Foundation, Project Angel Food, M.A.C. Cosmetics AIDS Fund, Keyboard Educators, San Francisco State University Creative Arts, and Friend to Friend at UCSF. Sarah is passionate about creativity, cosmetics, and building businesses. While attending college she managed and opened two restaurants along with consulting and securing employees at the family business Happy Pest Control bringing the company a 25% increase in revenue within two months. Sarah's attention to detail and vision of the larger picture has brought success to any project to which she sets her mind.
