Sarah Sofia is a passionate and innovative Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), licensed on the state of Pennsylvania (LDN). Some of her earliest memories involve cooking in the kitchen with her two Italian grandmothers, where she learned foundational cooking skills, secret family recipes, and the importance of community surrounding a well-prepared meal.Sarah believes food is one of the most powerful ways to serve others, as it provides essential nutrients and fosters community. However, when the ideals of a healthy lifestyle fail, the world is faced with the double burden of malnutrition. Sarah's desire is to work towards good nutrition; to provide nutrition education, sustainable food source initiatives, physical fitness activities, and quality nutrition care. Sarah is working toward her passion of preventing malnutrition in her local community and around the globe by school supporting school nutrition efforts and volunteering overseas. Sarah diligently creates school nutrition menus with whole ingredient and scratch cooking standardized recipes, while also teaching students how to garden and prepare garden-fresh recipes.
