I have a Master of Arts in Counseling with focus on community counseling. My theoretical orientation is an integration of the following therapies: Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Dual-diagnosis, Person-Centered planning and humor. I have completed coursework and/or experience in group, individual, consultation, crisis counseling, grief and loss, substance use, and conflict resolution modalities of counseling.Specialties: Counseled adult women and men with drug and/or alcohol use concerns including mental health diagnoses and identifying the problematic issues of physical and emotional abuse from their past.Managed a case load of clients with severe and persistent mental illness in an outpatient mental health setting.Provided individual counseling, group facilitation, team meetings.
