Managed TWUL Wholesale’s commercial contracting and service delivery to 3rd parties interested in purchasing network and commodity services within the existing, regulated UK competitive water markets;Developed the wholesale customer engagement strategy, and provide ongoing contract and account management support for TWUL Wholesale’s customers through the supervision of service requests and operational escalations into the business;Represented TWUL Wholesale in UK cross-industry forums on new market development, liaising with other stakeholders such as other water undertakers, retailers, Ofwat and DEFRA.

The TWUL graduate scheme in Asset Management is an 18 month programme. It starts with completing multiple work placements around TWUL, to learn about below and above ground infrastructure for water and wastewater management; in addition, I completed placements in capital delivery, customer services and operational control. Following this, I undertook a three month secondment to the R&D or 'Innovation' Department, where I completed a feasibility study on the applications of raw water reservoir algae as a bio-fuel; and as a mitigation mechanism to reduce opex impact on water treatment processes. I also worked on a group project that mapped out the research programme implantation plan for the completed Blackwater Recycling at the Olympic Park in London. For the remainder of the programme, I worked on a permanent roll in the Environmental Protection Team, as an environmental technologist.
