I am a nurse practitioner with over 12 years nursing experience in both inpatient, outpatient and community settings. There is nothing algorithmic about caring for people, and it is my belief that when evidence-based care is delivered compassionately, through a plan that considers the whole person and their lived experiences, the best outcomes will be achieved. Every day, I strive to provide patient-centered care that optimizes wellness and honors the unique person I am given the opportunity to care for.I am interested in systems of care and care delivery and how these systems can both promote and impede health, wellness and quality of life. My interests are informed by my experiences working in the community as a registered nurse, as a nurse practitioner providing home-based primary care to vulnerable adults and seniors, and by my current work in palliative care.
