I am currently a master's student at the University of Ottawa. I am in the applied mathematics thesis program. My thesis research involves using differential equations to study how climate change impacts the dynamics of interacting plant and insect populations. I chose this research topic, as I am very much interested in combining my main interests of applied mathematics and ecology. My goal for future research is to use mathematics to model concepts related to spatial ecology, conservation biology, or climate change in general.

Graduate Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Ottawa Sep 2023 - PresentOttawa, Ontario, CanadaI teach seminars, as well as grade and proctor for University of Ottawa undergraduate math courses. The courses that I have been a TA for include: Mathematical Methods I (MATH 1300), Calculus for Life Sciences I (MATH 1330), Intro to Calculus and Vectors (MATH 1339), ODEs and Numerical Methods (MATH 2384). -
Undergraduate Student Researcher - Simulating How Animals LearnUniversity Of Alberta May 2023 - Aug 2023Edmonton, Alberta, CanadaBy earning an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA), I have had the opportunity to work on a computationally intense, statistical research project, titled "Simulating how animals learn: A new modelling framework applied to optimal foraging." I worked under the supervision of Dr. Mark Lewis (professor), and Dr. Peter Thompson (postdoctoral fellow). I mainly used Julia and R to simulate how animal foraging behaviour changes, depending on the environment that the animal is exposed to. I used LaTeX to write summaries of my work and used slideshows to present my results on multiple occasions to the lab group. -
Undergraduate Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Guelph Sep 2021 - May 2023Guelph, Ontario, CanadaI tutored, graded and proctored for University of Guelph undergraduate math courses by working in the Mathematics Learning Centre, as well as being a TA for Calculus II (MATH 1210). -
Undergraduate Student Researcher - Mathematical Problems In Quantum Entanglement TheoryUniversity Of Guelph May 2022 - Aug 2022Guelph, Ontario, CanadaThrough being awarded an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA), I was able to work with two mathematics professors (Dr. David Kribs and Dr. Rajesh Pereira) at the University of Guelph to study topics in quantum information science. More specifically, the research focused on quantum entanglement theory. Through this position, I strengthened my ability to proficiently use LaTeX as well as MATLAB.
