I undertake a number of these surveys myself including Phase 1, bat, great crested newt, dormouse, reptile, water vole and otter surveys. I deliver ecological research projects, for example investigating the success of JIGSAW woodlands on the Isle of Wight using dormice as an indicator of success. I also work with volunteers, leading surveys projects with volunteer surveyors and having placement volunteers for the summer, and deliver training courses on behalf of the Trust. Show less

During my 3 years at RSK I progressed from being a field assistant to a consultant. I undertook protected species surveys, project management, report writing, issuing quotations and client liason/meetings. I also woorked for Aylesbury Vale District Council, offering planning support as a consultant ecologist. I wrote BREEAM and CSH reports, and contributed to EPS licence applications.
