Responsible for quoting projects to customers and following the process through to accepting the orders, purchasing all materials required to produce orders, and working with Production and Quality Control to assure that orders are scheduled and executed in a timely manner. Responsible for all supplier negotiations, as well as approving and monitoring supplier performance. Develop and maintain positive customer relationships; coordinate the resolution of any/all customer issues in a proactive and timely manner. Also responsible for all Document Control functions, including updating and approving all customer drawings, ensuring all documents are up to date, and updating work instructions and procedures as required.

Responsible for the planning, purchasing and scheduling of all materials and components purchased for this facility. Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, new product launches and/or revisions to products to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material and production flow. Constant interaction with Program Managers, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service on new product quotations, as well as timely completion of firm orders for existing customers. Responsible for all negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers, and ensuring that all Approved Suppliers meet all requirements in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 requirements. Oversee and supervise Shipping & Receiving Department and Warehouse/Inventory Management.

Plan, schedule, and execute the procurement of all raw materials and component requirements for manufacture at several off-site facilities, and maintain safety stock levels commensurate with current business volumes/forecasts. Responsible for analyzing orders to plan, prepare, and publish a master schedule; Communicate with Customer Service to ensure highest possible order fill rate as well as advising run dates and stock availability; Maintain clear and effective communication channels, both internally and externally; Calculate and monitor appropriate inventory turnover ratios, minimum and maximum balances, and lead times for all purchased materials; Manage the MRP process to incorporate proficient ordering and expediting practices to support the timely supply of all materials to manufacturing and other departments.

Responsible for all purchasing and negotiation aspects of the procurement function for Niagara Thermal Products. This includes participation in all customer contract reviews; Providing forecasting, availability, and suitability of products to management on an ongoing basis. Perform supplier evaluations and performance reviews; Perform supplier audits and visits as necessary. Head continuous cost reduction programs and continuous improvement teams. Responsible for all contract negotiations; Identifying and evaluating both foreign and domestic suppliers. Direct Responsibility for creating and maintaining all purchase orders and adjusting delivery requirements based on fluctuating manufacturing schedules. Implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes and JIT deliveries.

Purchasing Manager (1995 - 2004)Responsible for the management of all operations relating to the purchase of raw materials, supplies and services for entire facility. This includes: negotiating contracts; vendor partnership development; raw materials and purchased parts requirements planning; inventory control, and transportation services. Responsible for addressing and resolving all problems related to procurement of goods and services, including regular and capital purchases, blanket orders, leases, and contracts. Responsible for quarterly vendor performance reviews, qualifying vendors to ISO-9000 Standards, and on-site surveys. Purchasing Assistant/Secretary (1989 - 1995)Assist in processing and expediting all purchase orders. Responsible for researching new vendors, pricing, and sourcing. Responsible for preparation of all purchase orders, data entry into AS400 system, verification, confirmation, and follow-up of all orders.
