Most people don't realize all of the tasks that a library manager is responsible for: project management, strategic planning, budget management, scheduling, employee evaluation, marketing, event planning, fundraising, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees, employee retention and engagement, and the list could go on. I have done all of these tasks for years while serving the public with a smile on my face. With a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science and ten years professional experience, I have developed the skill set to effectively step into a variety of roles. I am able to quickly learn new software, lead and develop a diverse team, and multitask on multiple ongoing projects. Creative problem solving and using data analysis to make improvements gets me excited! Some of my accomplishments as a manager include making improvements to the employee onboarding process, efficiently transitioning my team to remote work in 2020, establishing an increased presence in the community and local school system, implementing extensive improvements to the youth space and collections, and the creation of a 900 sq. ft. ADA compliant Nature Play Space. It has been my top priority to provide every person I encounter with an exceptional experience whether in a physical or online space. I am great at building long lasting relationships through extraordinary service.
