The CEC delivers these functions through an internal consultancy model to the NSW health system.In my role as Implementation Advisor for Organisation Effectiveness I led the Clinical Governance Stocktake of several LHDs and piloted the process with a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) trialing a cost recovery approach. o Used evidence-based tools and processes and a qualitative approach to facilitate large workshops with key stakeholders to review the effectiveness of a clinical governance functions.o Worked with organisation leads to identify and prioritise areas for improvement in clinical governance, patients’ safety and quality and supported teams with implementation of improvement initiatives. o Achieved >70% staff satisfaction average scores (for both achieving workshop objectives and the workshop experience).Led large scale consultation and diagnostic processes with NSW Health staff and consumers to inform new and established CEC Patient Safety Program as they worked to design, develop, prioritise, and evaluate their program functions and activities. o Consultation involved face to face interviews and onsite visits conducted by CEC program and project leads held across multiple LHDs (included metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote). o A qualitative research design using a grounded theory underpinned the approach to explore the organisational conditions and environments of specific specialty settings.o Acted as project lead, lead interviewer (> 100 interviews) and co-author of the final reports.

Negotiated improved pricing with vendors in purchase of ICT equipment Key achievements and Outcomes included:o 100% of in scope facilities and clinical locations implemented within timeframes and budget.o >95% workforce (5,500) trained within timeframe.o Forward estimates - LHD wide savings of > $500K per annum based on reduction in paper forms ordering and useo 98% staff satisfaction scores (for both the project implementation process and the product implemented)
