Promote and maintain ethical standards of crime and incident recording ensuring National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), National Standard for Incident Recording (NSIR) and Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) compliance by acting as a Dedicated Decision Maker for the Force, providing specialist knowledge to colleagues and identifying good practice and areas for improvement for the Force in relation to crime and incident recording.

Responsible for planning and deployment of resources required to meet the operational needs of the organisation for special operations, pre-planned events and unforeseen circumstances in order to ensure operational resilience of the Force and local policing areas are consistently maintained, whilst complying with all relevant policy and legislation.Daily tasks include identifying and investigating variance from schedules that had a negative impact on budget and or performance and ensuring tight control and efficient use of resources where necessary. Act as the initial point of contact for any member of the public who contacted Thames Valley Police. Also responsible for the initial investigation and recording of all crimes that are reported to Thames Valley Police.Use contact management training to effectively probe, control challenging callers, elicit information and provide assurance of all callers. Ensure that all essential information is recorded and evaluate the urgency of the incident based on a number of factors including harm, vulnerability and lines of enquiry and follow the most appropriate course of action is taken. Navigate effectively around a wide variety of IT systems including Command and Control, NICHE and Microsoft Office. Make sure that all information is recorded and classified correctly in compliance with national standards.

Decision making on extensions of cover, assisting in the writing of insurance for risks, issuing documents, amendments, renewals and other administrative tasks. I have gained experience in meeting broker’s expectations and the understanding of writing policies based on each high net worth risk presented to the business and the reasons for setting requirements and terms in order to manage the risk.
