Human Resource Officer - Kakuma Program
Current• Assist with the recruitment process for vacant positions within the program for National and Refugee staff, place adverts, develop shortlists in collaboration with Human Resource and Operations manager as well as conduct interviews and conduct incustion for newly employed staff in the Kakuma Program.• Coordinate performance management process at the program level to ensure all staff have been appraised and actions.• In collaboration with the Human Resource and Operations manager, ensure all staff are incorporated in the various staff benefits - Medical scheme, Group life cover, medical evacuation scheme and facilitate member benefit education.• In collaboration with various departments and in consultation with the Area Program Manager, facilitate planning, developing and implementation of relevant staff development and training programs for capacity building.• Monitor and develop systems that ensure the work environment is safe for the employees and that safety guidelines are adhered to including but not limited to having a Health and Safety Committee is in place and that staff are duly trained as necessary as fire marshals etc.• Prepare and present monthly Kakuma Program HR reports to the Human Resource and Operations manager and the Program Management Team.• Engage casual compound cleaners and prepare all engagement and payment details as per casual engagement policy.• Participate and support resource mobilization efforts.• In collaboration with the risk and compliance department ensure that all staff have been trained on protection on Sexual Exploitation Abuse and Harassment, Fraud and corruption and adherence to staff code of conduct• Facilitate staff disciplinary matters and ensure LWF procedures and legal statutes are adhered to in the process.• Monitor end of contracts for all staff and provide updates to facilitate necessary action and procedures such as notifications on end of contract, renewal, separation or other as necessary.
