About Sarah Pease

I am a Program Manager in the Competitive Research Program at NOAA's National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) where I help manage our Effects of Sea Level Rise (ESLR) and Harmful Algal Bloom Event Response (HABER) Programs. I received my PhD and Masters from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) at William & Mary, where I researched harmful algal blooms and their impacts on shellfish. I enjoy engaging in marine science from various perspectives and have worked in research, marine policy, monitoring and management, as well as outreach and education. My focus is on marine science that addresses real-world issues and incorporates stakeholders throughout the process. Some of my interests include: HABs, coastal resilience, subsistence, science communication, and neuroscience.
