Energy Analyst (Rates)
CurrentDetailed rate analysis of electricity cost and load forecasting for U.S. data centers within market and regulated territories, including green tariffs. • Designed rate models to forecast electricity costs, built and tracked variance to budgets, supported site selection efforts, forecasted renewable VPPA and green tariff cost/credits, and prepared quarterly accruals. • Modeled load ramps for electric utilities to share monthly MWh, MWaverage and MWpeak shapes of data centers over multi-year forecasts, while also standardizing the intake process for new requests, adapting to scaling data center growth.• Architect of the Energy Team’s first ever interactive data center Tableau dashboard (built back-end database as well as designer of front-end user experience) to enhance transparency of portfolio and region specific cost, load and rates, scale analysis, and streamline financial reporting. • Development of KPIs, including reporting methodologies to benchmark industrial rates. Lead within Global Energy of reporting quarterly business metrics for Infrastructure leadership. • Partnered cross functionally to support energy activities throughout the lifecycle of the data center with Energy Managers, Finance, Accounting, Capacity Planning, Sustainability, Data Engineering, Site Selection and Strategy teams.
