I have progressive experience in accounting and finance management in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, starting as Assistant Controller at Evercom Systems (telecommunications) in 1997, then as Controller at TMI Integrated Services (manufacturing/distribution) and currently as CFO at ACH Child & Family Services (Non-profit social services for children and families). I am not afraid of change and I enjoy challenges that require me to stretch professionally. I have had repeated experience coming into an organization in the midst of significant growth or change, sometimes a fair amount of chaos, and have been able to improve processes for better efficiency, tighten controls to safeguard assets, and improve reporting and analysis capacity. I believe that the best Finance/Accounting department maintains good internal control, operates within policy and procedures, but integrates well with all other departments in support of the goals of the agency. The department should make it easier for the front line to get the job done while still maintaining safeguards and controls. In addition to leading Finance and Accounting functions, I have lead teams in Facilities, Hospitality and Events, Social Business Ventures, Training and Risk Management.Specialties: Software implementation, upgrade of Finance and Accounting procedures, growth and development of Accounting/Finance departments following mergers or acquisitions, improved financial reporting and analysis. Capital expansion and improvement projects, including New Market Tax Credit financing.
Listed skills include Finance/Accounting Systems Development, Accounting Systems Implementation, Finance, Gaap, and 19 others.
