During my time at Ernst and Young, I worked in the Pensions Assurance Group in Southampton, and Investment Management Audit in London.  This role required a thorough understanding of both company and pension scheme accounts, as I was dealing with large, complicated numbers and accounts on a daily basis.  My detailed understanding of all the relevant components meant that I was able to communicate issues to both financial and non-financial personnel, while adaptability enabled me to work in both specialist areas with expertise.  I effectively managed the audit process from start to finish, considering audit risk issues, accounting technical matters, liaising with overseas offices, and in particular, meeting time pressured deadlines, and delivering results and value to clients. In this role I demonstrated excellent teaming skills, the ability to lead, initiative, excellent presentation skills, a positive attitude in a number of difficult and challenging situations and shown the ability to adapt to a variety of roles.   I was also actively involved in Graduate recruitment, with the Corporate Social Responsibility team and our office fundraising.
