I had an active role in clinical trials and the strategic planning process for COE growth and development within the Cancer Center. My results-oriented nature and organizational skills supported successful project development, implementation, analysis, and overall management. In addition to project management, I consistently went above and beyond to better the growth of our team, fostering collaboration with community and campus partners. I provided innovative strategies to collaborate with a wide variety of multi-disciplinary partners ranging from healthcare system CEOs to elementary school teachers to oncologists and community members. I connected and articulated complex concepts to various audiences with diverse backgrounds.

CU Cancer Center, Cancer Prevention & Control Program

- Oversaw a federally funded project designed to improve the delivery of integrated primary, behavioral health, and psychiatric care.- Served as data coordinator, and project lead evaluating the effectiveness of workflow across disciplines.- Managed grant reports, UDS reports

Arrowhead Movement was an organization to help increase access to physical activity and exercise resources for cancer patients and survivors.

-Coordinated a multi-site study funded by the National Cancer Institute.-Supervised and administered sub-maximal graded exercise tests, and doubly labeled water samples for cancer patients and survivors.-Conducted assessments with cancer patients and survivors of resting energy expenditure.-Led exercise sessions for cancer patients and survivors.-Engaged in one-on-one behavioral counseling related to goal setting, exercise, and physical activity with cancer survivors.-Developed exercise programs for cancer patients and survivors.-Data collection and analyses.-Supervised functional testing, conducted maximal graded exercise tests, and led exercise sessions for older sedentary adults.-Facilitated study design, participant recruitment, and scheduling.-Led research study participation orientation sessions, and conducted participant exit interviews-Facilitated communication between our site and the parent site.-Communicated with Carle Hospital in order to recruit participants from the oncology clinic to participate in research trials.-Completed submissions to the IRB including completing amendments and renewals. -Managed recruiting, screening, and scheduling all participants for testing and exercise session appointments.-Taught undergraduate students, incoming faculty, and new graduate students various lab and research protocols pertaining to sedentary older adults, cancer patients and survivors, and individuals with MS.
