I mainly teach on Undergraduate Developmental Psychology modules and I am the Award Leader for BSc Psychology and Child Development. I have set up a research lab, the Children's Lab, where we invite young children and their parents to join us to take part in research. My own areas of research interest are effects of digital media, particularly television, on young children and children's developing creativity, particularly their drawing skill.

Delivery of seminars, marking assessments and personal tutor for students studing a Masters level course in child development.

Teaching Fellow: planning and delivering seminars, workshops and lectures to undergraduate students in a range of core areas of psychology, including research methods, social, cognitive, developmental , biological psychology and relevant study skills. I am responsible for planning and developing all teaching materials for our overseas students in Ludong. These students take six Keele |Psychology modules during the first three years of their degree. These module are delivered through a combination of face to face teaching and distance learning. For the fourth year of their degree these students will come to Keele university.Additionally I have pastoral responsibilities providing support for individual students and also coordinating an e-mentoring scheme. I have been involved in curriculum development and design including the integration of the Distinctive Keele Curriculum into undergraduate psychology modules. I have organised and carried out T & L research into student’s experiences and attitudes to feedback received and investigating how the feedback process can be made more dialogic.

Working on a British Accademy funded project investigating the effect of pace in TV programmes on young children's behaviour. Having designed a pilot and main study and collected data from over 60 children I completed this contract. However, I am still part of the research team and am currently involved in supervising some follow up research being undertaken by MSc Students and dissemination.

Delivery of seminars and tutorials to undergarduate psychology students enroled in a wide range of core modules. In particluar teaching experience has involved research methods, biological and cognitive psychology modules. I am also a level 1 tutor and have assisted with delivering research methods training to MSc students. For all the modules on which I have taught I have been responsible for marking students assignments and exams. More recently I have been involved in carrying out a third stream research project. During this I have been responisble for the liason with schools, designing aspects of the study, collecting and analysing data and contributing to the final report.
