I am seeking a new role in the Bristol / Newport Area.

An evolutionary role that has expanded and encompassed the majority of the mandatory training provision for Gist business, over a quarter of my full-time role has been centered on building better training programmes for the business, I serve as a responsive and engaged National Safety Advisor with a deep knowledge of safety protocols, policies, legislation and quality practices. Training Champion & Programme Manager- Producing new training materials for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) teams across the business. - Provisioning external SHEQ training from local providers and developing the SHEQ training calendar. - Producing content including a training schedule and brochure for the company intranet.- Leading reviews of existing training programmes to identify improvements in line with business needs. - Developing the SHEQ training register to evidence and sustain business compliance on mandatory training. - Creating fast-track training literature and support documents for the onboarding of the Airsweb system. - Producing training materials in partnership with sites to develop Safe Systems of Work for the use of Pallet Trucks and for the Double-Deck Load restraint change.

- Achieved promotion to Site Operations Manager responsible for the entire distribution operation. - Managed 150+ on-shift resources through complex, high-demand and time-dependent warehouse operations. - Promoted to Safety Manager in the distribution contract award to Gist, responsible for the Wellingborough site. - Unleashed to achieve rapid improvements in HSE across operations to raise audit benchmarks from 20% to 70%. - Achieved subsequent improvements to 87% (2003) and +90% (2004) as the 2nd highest in all Gist sites. - Introduced sweeping changes in safety systems, driving conversion to SHEQ IMS methodology. - Deepened consultative relationships with the Senior EHO for the Wellingborough area to improve audit-readiness. - Introduced 5S methodologies to the site to improve efficiency, safety and cost-benefits in operations. - Served as the Business IMS Coordinator for 2 additional Gist sites, activating modelled improvements.
