-Works with the team members to develop, update, and execute custom requirements for course content. Responsible for the safety and welfare of 20-30 children in an outdoor, sometimes remote setting.-Participate in Chesapeake Wilderness Institute programming, a remote camping program that engages students in high adventure activities while they explore leadership and community.-Participate in and lead Education Outreach programs, where students identify and explore environmental issues in their school community through outdoor investigations.

-Prepare wilderness character monitoring assessments at assigned national wildlife refuge-Engage and educate staff and visitors about designated wilderness areas, wilderness character, the national wildlife refuge system-Implement inventory and monitoring strategies for tracking wilderness character at assigned wildlife refuge

-Assisted with on-site sea duck research; weekly feedings for entire colony (approximately 145 birds), and cared for newly born ducklings.-Developed research techniques for black duck foraging project focusing on population decline and loss of habitat along the Chesapeake bay region-Assisted with sea bird captures and surgical transplants of radio transmitters for wind farm study purposes along the Chesapeake Bay region

-Monitored fecundity, population, and behavior of wildlife species, including Pinnipeds (northern elephant seals and harbor seals), Tule Elk, Fallow Deer, Northern Spotted Owls, Snowy Plovers, Common Ravens, Common Murres, and nesting migrating birds-Assisted and organized data entry on these topics throughout the breeding season-Coordinated and lead events in the surrounding communities to promote conservation, restoration, recycling, and general environmental awareness-Performed residual dry matter assessments prior to the new growing season to assess level of cattle grazing during previous growing season along ranch land throughout the seashore-Performed non-native plant removal and restoration work
