We offer a holistic approach to environmental consultancy and aim to achieve development in an environmentally sensitive and appropriate manner and can assist at all stages of the planning and design process from concept to implementation.

As a freelance landscape architect I have undertaken a number of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and prepared landscape strategies in support of planning applications for housing and tourism developments. I have also coordinated a screening report for HRA Assessment, and a Strategic LVIA for an offshore windfarm.

I was responsible for leading design teams on a number of complex major projects including the new Center Parcs at Woburn, and a prestigeous landscape design project in Dubai. I also coordinated the Seascape and Landscape Character Assessment for the Dorset Coast (recipient of a SW Region RTPI Award and Landscape Institute commendation in 2011). Other projects included the restoration of the historic Sefton Park in Liverpool and a large housing development in Gloucestershire from planning drawings to implementation.

Scott Wilson is a multi disciplinary practice and so much of the work involved working in teams with engineers, planners, urban designers, ecologists and other specialists in the assessment, design and delivery of projects ranging from rail and road infrastructure through to historic park restoration and housing developments.

As well as managing the practice, I led design teams on a wide variety of projects throughout Southern Africa, mainly for the private sector, including hotels and tourism facilities, commercial developments, universities, housing, mining establishments etc. I also led team for the Sterkfontein (Cradle of Humankind) World Heritage Site application for inscription and in the preparation of the Management Plan. I also prepared LVIAs, coordinated EIAs and wrote and monitored landscape management plans for mining establishments, commercial properties and hotels.
