• In collaboration with the President, Dr. Chantal DeJonge Oudraat, I established a grants department within WIIS to organize and coordinate all fundraising efforts. With regular and consistent fundraising needs, I leveraged my experience fundraising for Samos Volunteers and applying for scholarships and volunteered to pioneer a grants department.• Curated a WIIS Podcast, WIIS WORDS, as a platform to showcase women in international security. • Held major administrative roles, including being the main liaison for the company information email between WIIS and our 6,000+ members, maintaining file hygiene to ensure project organization. Regularly maintained and updated client relationship management platforms and generated reports on user engagement and new additions to the WIIS network.

Samos, Greece

• Developed a new curriculum and taught Advanced English classes to refugees living in the Samos Hotspot. The class consisted of men between the ages of 20 and 35, all with working English proficiency but needed guidance on passing their English certification exams. The goal was to successfully prepare students for testing so they may acquire jobs and earn sustainable income while living in temporary settlements.• As the only Arabic speaking teacher, I regularly mediated conflict between people living in the refugee camp and with host community members. I leveraged my conflict resolution training and my training in culture and identity. • As an agent for change, I hosted seminars to consult volunteers on intercultural communication and mediation, so that the volunteers may retain conflict mediation skills and implement a culture of respect within our support center.• Aided in the daily maintenance of a psychosocial support center providing basic human needs to people living in the refugee camp. This meant both reviewing budgets, fundraising with individual donors ($300,000) and with institutional donors (UNHCR, IRC, Refugees International, Medecins Sans Frontier).• Lobbied for a vaccine campaign for all the children living in the refugee camp. It grew to all unvaccinated members of the refugee camp (1,450 people) were vaccinated for contagious diseases.

Madrid Area, Spain

• Independently led a team of research interns, with support from the Dragones President, Jorge, to create community soccer tournament for immigrant families. As a form of community engagement and development, we hosted the soccer tournament to connect immigrant families facing hardship. • Research resource availability from the local ministries (City Council of Madrid, City Council of Toledo) contact soccer teams (Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Porto) for sponsorship. Successfully acquired permits, funding and soccer equipment donations.• Created and refined English Language curricula, for 15 students ages 10-13. With this curricula I taught weekly English classes and graded homework, with the added sensitivity for students with diverse backgrounds and ranging statuses of immigration.• Collaborated with the City Council of Madrid to extend field permits and funding for community tournament beyond my tenure with Dragones.

New York City Metropolitan Area

• Gained valuable skills in client relationship management through tracking client art collections and producing catalog availability.• Created weekly Fair Market Valuations, a useful tool in catalog for prospective art clients to both sell and purchase art from their personal collections. This involves formatting, collecting data from multiple departments, and cataloging the art value at a fair market price.• To go further with client relationships, I attended and documented auction results to send personalized updates for 60 client profiles. With attention to personal preference, I highlighted pieces of interest for clients.• Received accolades for professionalism, attention to detail and ability to successfully complete multiple tasks on a tight deadline.
