A PR professional with twenty years of industry experience and a love and knack for copywriting on any subject you care to pluck out of the air. I started out as a broadcast journalist with the Guardian Media Group, gathering and broadcasting news on the company's first radio station, Real Radio, based in Cardiff, south Wales. I moved to London in 2002 and took up my first PR role working at Harmer PR, a niche B2B agency in the West End, specialising in entertainment technology and lighting. I joined Spreckley Partners in June 2004 where I broadened my experience, working with an array of clients in the HR space, such as Pitman Training, Sirota Survey Intelligence and Lane4. I also worked on IT accounts for The Federation Against Software Theft and Global 360.Leaving Spreckley Partners in 2009, I began freelancing and worked on projects for organisations such as HMS Belfast, Pedalite, Russam GMS and Interim Women. In 2013, A chance encounter with the owner of my old PR firm, saw me step back into the magical world of theatre and entertainment, working alongside Lesley Harmer on a freelance basis. Gradually taking on a greater level of responsibility for the day to day running of the business as Lesley prepared for retirement, I took over the company in January 2018 and now operate under the new name - Sprand Communications. Why Sprand? After a long night mulling over names with Lesley and our respective partners, Sprand Communications sprung out of nothing more complicated than Sarah PR AND Communications. Basically it does what it says on the tin, which is exactly how I operate. What you see is what you get. Today my clients include the lovely people at Doughty Engineering, Unusual Rigging, Unusual Rigging and Engineering LLC in Dubai, Broadweigh and Le Mark Group.
