I love working in start-up companies that are focused on innovation. That's because the energy and passion that is needed to bring new products to market leads to a dynamic environment with a lot of interesting challenges - it’s fun! My strengths in problem solving, team work and creativity have helped me to thrive in my marketing roles to date. Although my academic background is in chemistry, after a stint in the laboratory I switched career paths to tackle B2B marketing and communications. Being the interface between the technical and commercial sides of the business allowed me to continue working closely with the development team whilst also being able to understand and communicate with the customers. Working in a small company often means wearing multiple hats, so I have worked on projects in digital marketing, writing scientific communications, customer relationship management/business development, events coordination & marketing and product management. I recently completed a three month intensive digital marketing course that included topics such as branding, website design, SEO, analytics, CRM and social media so that I could improve my skills in digital communications.Having always worked in companies developing new products, platforms and services, I am used to marketing within the requirements for non-disclosure and customer confidentiality. Whether it is a product, service or platform technology that I am dealing with, I enjoy the challenge of understanding the customer and explaining the benefits of the offering to the target audience.
