At this early stage of our development, I am designing the structure of the organization, planning future programming, building a board of directors, networking, building a website, and most importantly, completing the state and federal forms necessary to incorporate and gain 501c3 tax-exempt status.

Founded Healthy Cooking Program at Pond Gap Elementary School. Taught weekly after school on-site cooking classes to 2nd-5th graders to expand their preference for and knowledge of healthy food, using a variety of plant-based recipes that employ different cooking tools and methods. Classes build cooking skills and foster cooperation, confidence and independence. Taught virtual at-home cooking classes to utilize a child’s interest and passion for cooking to engage their entire family in healthy eating.

Oversaw operations of a small consulting firm that advises and prepares mainly international students for applying to top art and architecture graduate schools in the U.S. Developed company procedures and strategies for on-boarding clients and guiding them through application processes. Trained and managed assistant to the D.O. and D.O. of China. Oversaw team of portfolio and writing consultants to assure quality of guidance. Worked with founder on hiring and termination of consultants. Communicated regularly with all clients, both domestic and international. Used CRM software to manage records and databases. Wrote content for website and client resources.

Managed Cool School Food Program that provides healthy lunch entrees to twelve schools in district: collaborated with Food Service Director and staff, helped refine recipes, implemented practices to increase healthy entree consumption. Managed afterschool healthy cooking class program offered in seven schools: planned and taught classes, oversaw team of cooking class instructors, developed and coordinated large volunteer base. Wrote grants to expand programming.

Instructed and designed lower elementary curriculum meant to spark the child’s interest in the natural sciences by providing hands-on experiences that explore a variety of topics in this field. Independently raised funds to supply indoor science lab. Conceived, then fundraised and organized parent-teacher work days to install an edible forest garden, outdoor classroom and forest trail system.

Led children age three to six in Montessori language, mathematics, sensorial and practical life curriculum.
