About Sarah Corrigan

I am a dynamic communications professional with considerable experience in developing and evaluating strategic communications activities, and providing insights and innovative solutions to clients. My foundation is based in data. I can't get enough of Market Research; I have always been curious as to why people do the things they do.I am a graduate of the Marketing Research & Business Intelligence graduate program at Algonquin College, and I began my career in market research at Nielsen Consumer Insights North America. As a research analyst at Nielsen, I was able to develop excellent written and verbal communication skills, strengthen my leadership qualities, and enhance my research skills. These skills allowed me to develop a better understanding of the market research process and to grow as a researcher.Over the past few years I worked on the Consultations and Public Opinion Research team at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as a Communications Analyst. In this position I gained invaluable experience conducting public opinion research, developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with various partners/stakeholders, providing strategic communications advice and recommendations to senior management on complex communications issues, leading research projects and mastering the use of online survey software platforms. I am currently working as a Public Opinion Research Advisor at National Defence. I have considerable experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research for Public Affairs and CPG clients, conducting statistical analysis, utilizing WebEx and I am fluent in multiple online survey software platforms (Voxco, Fluid Surveys and Qualtrics), as well as SMART, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. My skill set includes, but is certainly not limited to: providing strategic communications advice to senior management, project management, client liaison, preparing Statements of Work (SOW) and responses to Request for Proposals (RFP), conducing quality checks, data collection management, report writing, analysis and drafting survey instruments. Additional duties include invoicing, conducing literature reviews, drafting briefing notes and leading the transition to a new departmental-wide survey software program.
