Hello there! I am an undergraduate student at St. Thomas Aquinas College working on my Bachelor of Science in biology. I am a competitive student who has also been a college athlete for the past four years. This has allowed me to learn how to balance both academics and sports, while still maintaining a high GPA. Besides my dedication to sports, I have been working on building a strong foundation of the necessary skills required in a biology setting, while also vastly increasing my knowledge through exploring the various topics in biology. I am very passionate about making a difference in my community, and as I continue my education, I want to make a difference through science as well. I have volunteered at the University of Iowa in the Surgical and Neurological Intensive Care Unit, as well as working at the ARC of East Central Iowa. Working at the ARC has allowed me to make a difference in my community, by providing a inclusive and safe environment for all. As I get closer to graduation, I am hoping to put my knowledge to the test and apply my lab skills in a research environment. I am eager to connect with other biology professionals and explore new opportunities for growth and development!
