Patrick Engineering is a national engineering, design, project management and construction management firm. Their client list includes key government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. As a Finance intern, I assisted with the processing of invoices from major client, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. In terms of administrative tasks, my responsibilities included general office workings such as submitting regular monthly office supply orders for the two Boston offices, scheduling meetings and conference calls, and planning office events for over fifty people. I assumed full reporting responsibility of a project with Patrick Engineering's partner, Peoples Gas, and submitted weekly timesheet data of over 400 employees to over twelve supervisors for approval prior to billing. In addition, I worked with recruiters to successfully fill four integral engineering positions within the Boston offices. Throughout my internship I demonstrated excellent organization and communication skills while working with both internal and external company parties, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision or direction.

CAPA The Global Education Network is an International Education Organization (IEO) that provides rigorous academic programs for accredited American universities in Dublin, London, Shanghai, Sydney, Florence and Buenos Aires. Their mission is to inspire students to analyze the complex political, cultural and social landscapes in urban environments and explore the forces of globalization in the creation of global cities.As an Institutional Relations intern, my job was to build and maintain institutional relationships. I worked with universities nationwide to approve CAPA program courses and syllabi, recruit students and seek opportunities to create custom programs with university faculty. I worked with the CAPA Marketing Director to create promotional materials for Institutional Relations representatives to utilize at study abroad fairs and information sessions to recruit students and attract new institutional partners. Building off of my own CAPA study abroad experience and role as a college business student, I pioneered the new Global Business Institute programs designed to immerse ambitious business students in competitive internships and course work in global cities. The first program launched in fall 2015 in Shanghai. Throughout my internship, I demonstrated exceptional professional communication skills working with university representatives, a strong customer-focused work orientation and knowledge of international education and study abroad programs.

As a summer Business Development and Marketing intern in the London, UK office, I coordinated business development, new opportunities and marketing proposals across the Rail, Transit and Aviation (RTA) sector in UK-Europe. I created bid materials for the $53 billion High Speed Rail 2 project linking London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, and analyzed the resumes of over 50 WSP | PB employees from Europe and the Middle East to aid in the creation of a competitive bid team. Throughout my internship, I catalogued and produced marketing collateral, created informational presentations for meetings with prospective clients and partners, and initiated internal staff focused activities. As an intern in the HomeCare Sales department, I worked in the Customer Service call center assisting in the management of the medical supply accounts of HomeCare patients. I interacted with customers, hospice workers, nurses and doctors daily to receive and place critical medical supply orders via phone and the online ordering system. I reduced the number of pending orders in the Medline system by actively calling patients and doctors to correct errors and release orders to ensure Medline's two-day shipping guarantee. Throughout my internship, I demonstrated flexibility dealing with customer complaints and the ability to learn new skills in short periods of time to increase overall department success.
