Working as a Senior Marketing Communications Manager gives me the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team to help drive audience acquisition and virtual attendance to SAP events such as SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference, SAP TechEd, SAP Select, etc.I enjoy designing and executing integrated marketing plans for our flagship corporate events, while working with local and regional teams to ensure consistent communication of these events across all market units. I also support the customisation of the associated marketing plans, where necessary. I lead the strategy and execution of digital marketing campaigns through social, web, SEO, content and all other integrated marketing channels and oversee all social media activities, ensuring we maximise our social presence across all social networks through both organic and paid advertising. I am constantly analysing the market to help identify more creative & innovative ways of driving registrations to our events in an effort to ensure we always have a strong digital representation (pre-events). In order to do this I also manage a tight budget which allows us to work with vendors and relevant stakeholders to help plan targeted marketing campaigns i.e. paid search, social media paid advertising, personalisation campaigns etc.

Accountable for the Global SAP Partner Service Delivery (PSD) Communications and Strategy Office, I look after all aspects of Global Marketing and Communications for SAP Partner Service Delivery.One of the responsibilities of this role was to roll out a social media strategy to over 300 colleagues globally. This included creating training's, assessments, guidelines and providing many resources to help those colleagues in particular who had never used social media before.I also led a team to work within a budget and deliver the first ever PSD Partner Innovation Day which attracted over 70 attendees. This was a hugely successful event which we captured through video and shared with partners who were unable to attend. Having the opportunity to work with many virtual teams, I also lead a virtual team to gather content and share it through an editorial calendar for our PSD newsletter which i send out to our organisation on a biweekly basis.My role in Global Marketing and Social Media has also afforded me the opportunity to travel and represent PSD in events. I have also gained experience using a CQ5 platform as a result of working on a large scale project to build a new website for SAP Partners. I also hold employee recognition highly in my team so as a result have established a monthly recognition program across PSD globally.

FCDM is a unique online Digital Marketing Company that drives web traffic, increases sales, enhances profitability and creates brand awareness for Clients. My role at FCDM involved looking after website Search Engine Optimisation, Google Adwords, correct website navigation, the creation of site maps for new websites as well as new urls and engaging with customers over the phone about changes and preferences to their new/updated website.I also worked on the back end of website platforms including Joomla, Magento and Wordpress to update content, pricing, products etc. I progressed in the role to take over as project manager for a number of projects. This involved working with the project team to build a marketing plan and, once complete, I would ensure the project team implemented all aspects of that plan. I thoroughly enjoyed this role.

Togher, Ballinasloe, Co.Galway

I began work in Killeens in Togher, Ballinasloe in June 2006. I looked after staff hours, stock, cash flow and cashing up at the end of the night. I also dealt with many different types or customers (both good and bad!) and this helped build my confidence greatly. I also looked after different fundraisers and events that took place at the pub. This included getting someone to play at the event, organising raffles, making sure we had enough staff and stock so we would not run into any difficulty. This job also helped build my organisation and preparation skills.
