I have assisted in the development of standard operating… Show more The Compliance Coordinator's main purpose is to keep the company in compliance with any and all applicable Federal, State, or Retailer regulations and standards, including international compliance.In this position I have participated in a product recall in cooperation with the CPSC, managed the US and Canadian Stuffed Articles, Bedding, and Upholstery license and registration process for our factories in Asia and the USA. I have assisted in the development of standard operating procedures and process manuals in a companywide initiative. I have worked heavily with our Consumer Services and Parts department to assess quality issues and suggest improvements. I have worked with our Product Development, Marketing, and Sales departments on new product to ensure compliance to Retailer standards while continuing to comply with Federal and State regulations, as well as handling many other interesting case by case quality or compliance issues.This position requires the comprehension of continually updating voluntary ASTM standards and mandatory CPSC regulations for the juvenile products industry, as well as specific Retailer requirements and any applicable State laws or regulations.An overall working knowledge of company dynamics is necessary for this position as Compliance affects, and is affected by, many departments within the company.
