By sharing advice and accounts from experts and fellow travelers, we empower people to explore new destinations while having the freedom to work from anywhere.Many of our articles and guides are published by a core team of writers and researchers, though we work with a number of vetted and respected guest contributors and partners. Almost all articles are long-form and evergreen. All our traffic is organic, with visitors growing by the thousands every month thanks to in-house marketing campaigns and continual optimizations of our new and existing articles.

IdeaScale Crowd is a community of 30,000+ creative problem solvers, design thinkers, and ideators. The built-in community of solvers has helped companies like Target, Hyundai, 3M, Hershey's, and Sterilite develop new product ideas, find creative uses and extensions to existing products, brainstorm new service offerings, and provide valuable consumer insights and idea validation services. I built and managed crowdsourcing campaigns—including development of campaign purpose and goals, community outreach, campaign administration and moderation, and campaign reporting—relating to new product development, service strategy, and social issues. Grew company from inception to 20+ client accounts within eight months, entirely from referrals. Recruited and managed contractors, and handled all partner and client relations. Some clients included IdeaScale, Lung Cancer Alliance, ShopKeep, UMass Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, Newark Mentoring Movement, Handsome Beer Company, Jiffy Lube, 5:00 Films & Media, the American Art Therapy Association, Strategic Healthcare Programs, and Global Systems Engineering. Closed company in 2019 to focus on single client.

Analyzed and provided suggestions for improving company's internal and external communications practices. Laid out and scheduled content for website, email lists, and social networks. Migrated website to more user-friendly CMS.Visited transitional and permanent residences throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania to learn more about the organization's work, meet site staff, speak with residents to gather stories and testimonials, and accompany media.Transitioned to communications consultant position with HELP USA in summer 2014.

Built the Volunteer Global website during my freshman year of college. Wrote a program that allowed hundreds of organizations worldwide to create profile pages, individual volunteer project listings, and stories and articles to assist with volunteer recruitment. At its peak, more than 800 organizations actively maintained profiles on the website.Wrote business plan, strategies, and team and volunteer handbooks as the Volunteer Global website evolved into a company. Directed all company operations and hired and supervised all staff. Recruited partner to assist with developing host country partnerships.Transitioned Volunteer Global into a company that placed volunteers with community-based organizations for career- or degree-related internships and volunteer projects.Visited and vetted potential partner organizations in Central America and the Caribbean. Volunteered on projects, interviewed volunteers and interns, spoke with directors and coordinators about all project details, and negotiated contracts.Managed all company communications, including website development, style/content guides, volunteer outreach, partner outreach, client outreach, and public affairs.Personally contacted and kept in touch with hundreds of volunteer organizations and researchers over seven years to gather and distribute information about the volunteer abroad industry. Conducted the semiannual university partner census, which tracked enrollment, financial aid, and internship information more than 500 students at more than 50 universities each fall and spring.Analyzed and provided feedback for proposals from dozens of prospective partner universities.Continually maintained new and accurate information on the Fellows portion of the Peace Corps website as well as Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) information in the RPCV Database.Represented the Fellows Program, Master's International, and Returned Volunteer Services at career fairs, graduate school fairs, overseas staff trainings, and other events. Edited and fact checked nonfiction manuscripts, research articles, and client marketing materials for publication. Designed and updated websites for the agency and clients.

Conducted the Colonial Brass Band at rehearsal, men's and women's college basketball games, and at A10 and NCAA tournaments. Worked with athletics department to organize tournament travel details for all band members.Provided scholarship recommendations and represented the band to the university spirit program and athletics department. Performed administrative work for Colonial Brass, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble.Was the first TA in GW Band history to win first chair in my section all four years.

Collected and edited advertisements and essays for agency's 'Hotline' newsletter, which was posted online and emailed twice each month to more than 5,000 Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs). Took over graphic design of newsletter during senior year of college. Assisted RPCVs with career building services through listservs, online career assessment tools, and newsletters. Assisted with planning career fairs and conferences.
