Cataloger for UCSB's repository. Together with a small team I worked to analyze, sort, and organize incoming samples, as well as maintain the samples currently in storage. Samples were maintained through monitoring temperature and humidity levels. Additionally I provided guided tours of the repository to researchers and students.

Independent researcher for Egyptologist Stuart Smith. Research dealt with a sample of Nubian pottery taken from a recent excavation. The goal of the research was to find a pattern in style and evolution within the pottery's pattern. The style patterns were organized and analyzed in order to observe stylistic influences and evolution. Research results showed a clear evolution throughout the sample, and stylistic influences were concluded from neighboring pottery styles recorded in images. How these influences were exchanged was not within the scope of my research.

Assistant researcher for the Christy Watershed project: analyzed and documented excavation samples from the Channel Islands. Analysis consisted of the identification of various marine animal species for documentation. Documentation consisted of weighing and registering of the various species found within samples and recording them into a database. Results were then used to determine the dietary pattern of Chumash residing on the Channel Islands.
