A rising senior in Washington University’s School of Arts & Sciences, Sarah is studying Global Studies and minoring in Spanish and Applied Linguistics. Sarah is also heavily involved in her student theater organization, Cast n’ Crew, and has sound designed and acted in two shows for the group. She is also a member of WUFuego, WashU’s latin dance group, and a member of Sigma Iota Rho, the global studies honorary. In addition, she was on the executive board of Pride Alliance, Danforth campus’ largest LGBTQ+ social group.Her academic interests include migration, particularly at the US/Mexico border, linguistics, the history of colonization in Latin America, disability & queer studies, and learning how to build cultural competency.
