I used to accompany my dad, who was a real estate developer and contractor, to his office almost daily. There I watched him put together deals and make plans for new developments. That's where I "caught the bug" to be at the table, making things happen. I often work with developers and financial institutions during the planning stages of their developments. In a commercial development or transaction, I can be found in a variety of roles, including the architect of the deal, lender’s counsel, title insurance agent, and borrower’s counsel. From government buildings, energy facilities, and manufacturing facilities to gas stations and hotels, there aren’t many project types that I has not participated in.
