Hello, my name is Sarah Murdock, and I am happy to share my story with you. As a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors in Computer Science, I have always been fascinated by the power of technology to solve complex problems. Growing up in Perrysburg, Ohio, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance from my experiences in karate, which taught me the importance of pushing through challenges to achieve my goals. When my family moved to a new city, I was determined to make the most of my opportunities. In high school, I pursued my passion for running and participated in endurance races and cross country while working part-time at Jersey Mike's for two years. But it was my involvement in my school's robotics club that truly ignited my love for coding. I devoted a lot of time to programming autonomous robots and developing my coding skills, and I knew that computer science was the field for me. As a university student, C++ quickly became my favorite programming language (at least temporarily!). I worked on several exciting projects, including developing a tic-tac-toe bot that always won or tied using the minimax algorithm. Additionally, I had the opportunity to program autonomous robots for one of my university group projects. Throughout my studies, I have also gained valuable work experience and knowledge about python. As a computer science intern for Booz Allen Hamilton, I worked on improving and testing Emitter Identification Algorithms for AFRL for four co-op periods. But my interests have evolved over time, I have taken various online courses in web development (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and made great contributions in assisting the launch of a web analytics startup (Painless Analytics by Logging Magic). In conclusion, I am a driven and curious individual who is passionate about using technology to solve meaningful problems. I am excited to continue learning and growing in the field of computer science and cannot wait to see where this journey takes me. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better.
