I absolutely love the work I get to do in the Indianapolis community. At CICF, I have the privilege of helping local philanthropists of all backgrounds identify their charitable passions and craft their philanthropic legacies. With my legal expertise, I am able to help donors and their professional advisors determine the best assets to give and the best charitable fund type for their gift. I work both with donors looking to make a gift now and with donors who have an eye on giving through their estate plans. Coming up with creative solutions to activate a donor's philanthropic passions is my favorite piece of my job--and I can't believe I get to do this every day!Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I ended up in Indianapolis out of law school primarily due to the 2008 recession. When legal internships were few and far between, I was fortunate enough to land a coveted summer clerk position at Ice Miller, and after an illuminating summer, I was asked to come back as an associate after graduation. Although I graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indianapolis was completely new to me. Now, eight-plus years later, Indy is home. I love this community and the people here. In fact, I met my husband and got married in Indianapolis! After bouncing around downtown and Broad Ripple, we now live in Fishers with our son Owen and two dogs, Hoosier and Riesy.
